Heritage Garden Studios helped this husband and wife transform their outdoor area into a stunning, multi-purpose retreat designed to enhance both productivity and relaxation. With a growing need for a dedicated home office and a desire to incorporate a swim spa sanctuary, this project seamlessly blends work, wellness, and outdoor living in a way that truly elevates their lifestyle.
The couple envisioned a space that would cater to both their professional and personal needs, allowing them to work efficiently while also creating a tranquil setting to unwind and enjoy their garden year-round. With remote working becoming more prominent, they required a dual home office that provided both comfort and functionality. To ensure maximum efficiency, we customised the layout to accommodate James and his wife’s specific desk measurements, creating a clutter-free, ergonomic workspace that promotes focus and productivity.
Beyond the office space, the couple wanted a relaxing outdoor retreat where they could enjoy their swim spa in all seasons. To achieve this, we designed a 7m x 3.5m garden room with an extended 8m x 5.8m canopy, offering ample shelter for the swim spa and an elegant outdoor area. To create an open, airy environment, we installed 5m bi-fold doors on both the front and left sides of the structure. When fully opened, these doors allow for a seamless transition between the indoor and outdoor spaces, enhancing the swim experience with fresh air and garden views.
Understanding the importance of convenience and comfort, we incorporated an outdoor shower, allowing the couple to rinse off after using the swim spa without needing to go inside. This feature not only adds a touch of luxury but also enhances the practicality of the space, making it easier to maintain cleanliness and comfort after each swim session.

Misson is a village and civil parish in Nottinghamshire, England. It is located 12 miles north of Retford, and not directly accessible from the rest of Nottinghamshire, as it is on the north bank of the River Idle. Misson Springs, which lie north of the village itself, is the northernmost place within the county. The parish also includes the hamlet of Newington, at its western edge. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 698,[1] increasing to 711 at the 2011 census,[2] and marginally more to 713 residents at the 2021 census.[3]
