Client Vision: Mr and Mrs T had a vision for a versatile garden studio that seamlessly combined entertainment and relaxation. Their dream included a dedicated space to unwind while enjoying the picturesque countryside views and a canopy to host outdoor gatherings. Additionally, wheelchair access was crucial for their disabled son.
Building Specifications: Opting for a spacious 7m x 4.750m building with a 5m x 2m canopy and a large decking platform, the T’s chose a structure manufactured from SIPS panels with steel beams for added support. A detailed calculation report reinforced the studio’s structural integrity due to its size exceeding 30 sq meters. The building was clad in low-maintenance composite slatted cladding in teak, featuring SIPS walls, roof, and floor, along with an EPDM rubber roof. Anthracite aluminium sliding doors provided both functionality and a sleek aesthetic.
Design and Features: The Montague studio, fully insulated for year-round use, showcases a composite slatted cladding exterior, combining beauty and durability to seamlessly harmonize with any garden. The impressive aluminium sliding doors not only offer easy access but also create a fluid transition between indoor and outdoor living. Internally, the studio was meticulously crafted with LED downlighters, brushed steel switches and sockets, and oak laminate flooring with underfloor heating. Including decking ensured a continuous flooring experience, perfect for hosting outdoor dinner parties.
