With this in mind, we designed a 4m x 3m garden room featuring a beautiful 500mm canopy to provide some extra shade and style. The real showstopper? A 3m x 2.5m aluminium veranda with a sleek glass roof that opens up the space to the garden, making it ideal for outdoor living, even on rainy days.
Seamless Outdoor Living with Custom Decking
To make sure this garden room fit perfectly into the existing landscape, we installed 8 square meters of composite decking. The deck was expertly shaped to follow the natural contours of the garden path using aluminium facia, giving it a sleek, modern look. We used high-quality composite materials from Artificial Living, which are durable, weather-resistant, and incredibly low-maintenance—so the homeowner can enjoy their outdoor space without the hassle of constant upkeep.
Light, Airy, and Full of Natural Light
One of the top requests from the homeowner was to keep the space bright and open, and we delivered! The garden room features large aluminium doors and windows from UK Doors Online, allowing plenty of natural light to flood the room. Whether you’re inside working or outside on the veranda, the transition from indoor to outdoor living is seamless.
Practical and Stylish Interior
We wanted the inside to be as functional as it is beautiful. The interior was kept simple and clean with surface-mounted sockets and light switches. Instead of running electrical wiring through the walls, we ran the wires externally under the cladding to maintain a minimalist look inside. This gave the homeowner flexibility for future additions without compromising the room’s aesthetics. The electrical setup includes internal lighting, two double sockets, and some eye-catching external up/down lights to set the perfect evening ambiance.
Eco-Friendly Foundation with Ground Screws
To ensure the garden room was built on a solid foundation, we used eco-friendly ground screws from Stay Grounded. Ground screws are an excellent alternative to concrete foundations, minimizing the environmental impact while providing strong, stable support—even on uneven terrain. Plus, they make future alterations or relocations easier without leaving behind a concrete footprint.
