We are thrilled to share with you our latest case study for a build we have just completed near Rotherham.
In this case study, we will show you how we transformed the garden of Dorothy Sloan, an 80-year-old lady who lives in Upper Haugh, Rotherham. Dorothy wanted a garden room that would provide her with extra living space and allow her to enjoy the views over the fields. She also wanted us to landscape her garden and make it more accessible and attractive.

We designed a garden room for Dorothy that met all her requirements and exceeded her expectations. The garden room is 2.7m x 2.7m and fully insulated with solid insulation. It is clad in thermowood, a durable and environmentally friendly material that requires minimal maintenance. It has a uPVC double glazed sliding glass door that opens up to the garden and lets in plenty of natural light. It also has a bespoke landscape window that frames the stunning views over the fields. The garden room has a front canopy that adds some character and provides some shade. The interior of the garden room is fully plastered and painted in a neutral colour. It is complete with a heater, oak laminate flooring, lighting and electrics. It is a cosy and comfortable space that Dorothy can use for reading, relaxing, or entertaining guests.
We also landscaped Dorothy’s garden, removing old planters and replacing them with new ones. We also installed a decking platform that connected the garden room to the main house. The decking platform made it easier for Dorothy to access the garden room and also created a nice area for sitting outside.
Dorothy was delighted with the outcome of the project. She loves her new garden room and uses it every day. She also appreciated the professionalism and friendliness of our team. She provided tea and biscuits to the installers on a regular basis, always on a tray, with the biscuits on a plate. She was very impressed by the quality of our workmanship and the attention to detail we paid to every aspect of the project.
